Nestling in the southernmost curve of Torbay is the historic fishing port of Brixham where a large fishing fleet still works out of the picturesque harbour that over the centuries has resisted change.
An eventful past
Quaint houses in narrow streets steep steps meandering around the harbour gives Brixham a sense of agelessness. The odd shaped buildings and the colourful names of the pubs recall the eventful past, for it was here that William, Prince of Orange arrived in 1688 to start a bloodless revolution that was to see him become King.

Brixham is a town with a heart and visitors are soon made to feel a part of its daily life providing a host of interesting and varied things to see and do. The port has a wide variety of shops to suit all tastes and a visit to a real old fashioned linen store or an original Devon toffee shop should not be missed.
